EMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION FOR BOSTON CANCER PATIENTS

As announced in staff meeting and as featured in the Hotline, Mayor Menino has organized a new transportation program as part of his Crusade Against Cancer. 10 Boston hospitals and several cab companies have donated to the effort that provides emergency taxi transportation to Boston residents who are traveling to/from one of the participating hospitals for cancer treatment. Because funds are very limited, this program is not able fund ongoing transportation, it should be used only for emergencies where there is no other alternative.
