FAMILY LAW ADVOCACY BOOK
The
CRC has obtained a copy of Family Law Advocacy for Low and Moderate Income Litigants, a joint publication of the Mass Law Reform Institute and Mass Continuing Legal Education, Inc. It was just released this month. The book is written as a self-help manual for parents navigating Family and Probate court and to determine in which parts of the process, if any, they can represent themselves. Topics include: overview of the probate and family court system, safety and protection issues (domestic violence), divorce, paternity issues, child support, child custody, immigration issues, adoption, and mediation, among others. It also includes copies of various blank and example forms. Please contact the CRC if you would like to refer to the book about a specific case.4/99
