NURSING HOME CLOSES

Youville Lifecare nursing home in Cambridge will close its doors by November according to August 26^th’s Boston Globe. Youville cites declining reimbursement from the Federal Medicare program for the closure. The Balanced Budget Act cut the reimbursement rate for nursing homes from 100% to 85%. The Youville rehabilitation hospital and assisted living facility will remain open.
