Point To Talk books have words and phrases in English and translation so that basic communication can take place by pointing to the relevant words. The books are available in Arabic, Khmer (Cambodian), Chinese, Farsi (Persian), French, German, Haitian Creole, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese. They are not intended to take the place of using an interpreter. They are for the hospitalized patient to keep at bedside for conveying basic needs when an interpreter is not present.

The books are available to give TO PATIENTS free of charge through the interpreter's office. We have obtained a very limited supply (2 of each) of these booklets. Please try the interpreter's office first, but if you need it immediately or are otherwise unable to get them our supply is in the Founder's 2 conference room. Please take the yellow sheet out of the booklet and house mail to Ellen Forman so we can order more as needed.
