Do you have a client who is a victim of a violent crime? Your client may be eligible for financial compensation for medical costs, lost wages and other crime-related expenses up to a maximum of $25,000 through the Mass. Crime Victim Compensation Program. Keep in mind that the crime must be reported to the police within five days except for some limited exceptions. Also, the victim must apply for compensation within three years of the crime.
