ELDER AT RISK REPORT NOW MANDATED

One of your alert colleagues reported to the CRC that Elder at Risk is now a mandated report. We have confirmed, that this did, in fact, go into effect on July 1, 2004, but there is nothing in writing and reportedly no budget for community education. Obviously this raises many questions. ETHOS, the Boston ASAP charged with implementing this change will be informing community partners, including hospitals, about the details of this policy change in the upcoming weeks. We will inform you when we know more. In the meantime, we suggest you contact the appropriate ASAP with any case-specific questions. Please inform the CRC if you have any additional information. Thanks.
