MassHealth Immigrant Coverage

As reported earlier, MassHealth mailed a second round of notices to elderly and disabled immigrants on MassHealth Essential, asking for information on their sponsorship status via completion of a form. The forms are due back April 1 st. Those with sponsors below 200% FPL will remain covered through June 30 th, 2005. Coverage will also continue in cases where the sponsor can’t be found, or if the sponsor refuses to provide information. The remainder will be downgraded to MassHealth Limited in mid-April, unless the Legislature intervenes.
