Pastoral Education Opportunity
Interested in Multidisciplinary Training in Spiritual Care? Through the generosity of The Kenneth B. Schwartz Center and the Department of Nursing, fellowships are available for the MGH 2005 Clinical Pastoral Education Program for Healthcare Providers.
The MGH 2005 Clinical Pastoral Education Program is open to persons from any discipline who work directly with patients/families in a healthcare setting and who wish to integrate skills of spiritual caregiving into their professional practice. This program runs part-time. The 2005 start date will be negotiated with the participants. Group sessions are held on Mondays, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours are negotiated for the clinical component.
Six Kenneth B. Schwartz Fellowships in Pastoral Care will be awarded to caregivers from other disciplines than Pastoral Care. They may be doctors, nurses, social workers, or other professionals who interact directly with patients and families and they may be employed by any institution or practice.
Two Spiritual Caregiver fellowships are available for the MGH 2005 Clinical Pastoral Education Program. Applicants for these Spiritual Caregiver Fellowships must be Registered Nurses in the MGH Department of Nursing who are in direct-caregiver roles and who have a minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
