Since July, MassHealth has been including a pamphlet entitled "What Noncitizens need to know about applying for MassHealth, CMSP, Healthy Start, and Free Care" in its member booklets. Many advocates had been asking the state for something in writing to reassure patients that their information would be kept confidential. The brochure can be viewed here.
Providers are supposed to be giving a copy of the member book (which includes this pamphlet) to everyone doing a Virtual Gateway application, but patients don't always take their packet. They are not yet available in Spanish, but Partners Community Benefits will request translation.
