AstraZeneca Patient Assistance Program
AstraZeneca also announced new efforts to help people without prescription drug coverage. Also as of November 15 th, the AstraZeneca Patient Assistance Program (PAP) expanded to help those in the middle class as well as those with lower incomes. The company made the income guidelines more generous, raising the limit to get assistance from 250 percent to approximately 300 percent of the government-determined Federal Poverty Level (FPL). For 3.8 million more people, this means they could have new access to the medicines they need.
Eligibility:
- AstraZeneca’s program is for people of all ages.
- Gross family income under approximately 300% FPL- individuals earning $30,000 or less, couples earning $40,000 or less, or a family of four earning $60,000 or less.
- Do not have prescription drug coverage OR have drug coverage, but experiencing financial hardship, including people with Medicare Part D.
The company will also provide one-on-one education and information to help people find out about health insurance coverage that they might be able to afford and obtain, including public and private programs.
