RESTORE ONCOLOGY REHABILITATION PROGRAM

RESTORE (Recovering Energy and Strength Through Oncology Rehabilitation Excellence), is a program of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital's Framingham Outpatient Center.  Conveniently located at 570 Worcester Road (Rt. 9 Eastbound), the program can help Metrowest patients looking for post-treatment oncology rehabilitation close to home.

RESTORE seeks to provide a supportive environment in which cancer patients, in all stages of diagnosis and recovery, work with specially trained rehabilitation professionals to improve their daily function and quality of life.  RESTORE services address a variety of issues such as fatigue, pain, decreased range of motion and strength, and lymphedema following initial phases of cancer treatment. Key components of the program include exercise, dietary changes, and lifestyle modifications.  Newly diagnosed patients may benefit from pre-treatment and/or pre-operative consultations with the RESTORE team to help minimize the potential side effects of surgery and treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation.

RESTORE's multidisciplinary staff includes doctors, physical therapists (many of whom are certified in manual lymphatic drainage), occupational therapists, a registered dietician, psychologist, massage therapist and several administrative staff.

Most services are covered by insurance (including MassHealth).  Psychology and dietician services may not be covered.
