MassHealth Adult Dental Preserved for FY10

As reported last month, under a plan proposed by Governor Patrick more than a million low-income Massachusetts residents covered by Medicaid would lose coverage for dentures and some other oral care, among other cutbacks. After significant advocacy efforts, adult dental benefits for MassHealth and Commonwealth Care have been preserved in the FY10 budget.  The state was able to find funds to keep dental benefits fully intact for the time being.
