FREE ONLINE TAX PREP

Last month the MGH Community News ran an article about the Earned Income Tax Credit and Free Tax Preparation. Now here’s news about free online tax preparation assistance. Free e-file tax returns on-line for those who meet the following criteria:

• household income is at or below $56,000
• have an email address you check regularly
• have valid social security numbers or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (s) for filer, spouse (if applicable) and all dependents.

Simply go to www.beehive.org/mobile4

Click the link at the right-hand side under “Toolbox” that reads “File your income taxes for free.” The easy to use software will walk you through preparing your own federal and state tax returns. You will need to know your 2007 Adjusted Gross Income or AGI to e-file the return. This can be found on your 2007 Tax Return.
