Community Servings Running “Rolling” Wait-List
Community Servings provides free home-delivered meals throughout Eastern Massachusetts to people homebound with HIV/AIDS and other acute life-threatening illnesses, who are unable to shop or cook for themselves, and their dependent families and caregivers. Like many other community agencies, they are feeling the economic pinch. Eileen Harrington, Associate Director of Programs , confirms what has been reported to the Community Resource Center- they are running a wait-list. But she clarified that it is what they are calling a “rolling waitlist” – clients are prioritized/triaged based on need. Those in greatest need may still get services almost immediately after being found eligible, while others may need to wait about a month before they can expect meal delivery. Referrals are still always welcome.
