Celticare Updates & Reminders
- CeltiCare has expanded its provider network over the past several months. See the updated list of CeltiCare Commonwealth Care and Bridge in-network hospitals and health centers.
- Several hundred CeltiCare Bridge members will be terminated on February 1st and March 1st for failure to pay their premiums. These individuals will not have any coverage after that point - they will not be able to access the Health Safety Net.
- CeltiCare Bridge members who become pregnant should update their status with the state. They will be upgraded on the basis of their pregnancy, and will be allowed to go back on Bridge after their postpartum MassHealth Standard coverage ends. MassHealth is automatically flipping these individuals back to the Bridge plan.
- As of January 12 CeltiCare is approved to offer the Bridge plan in all service areas statewide with the exception of Pittsfield. This affects about 110 individuals who have Health Safety Net until CeltiCare is able to contract with Berkshire Medical Center in order to fill out their provider network and offer coverage in that area.
- The MassHealth enrollment centers (MECs) are supposed to have "immigration specialists" who are equipped to answer questions related to immigrant eligibility for programs. If you encounter problems with this at any of the MECs, please let me know.
- The Connector 1-877-MA-ENROLL number is still supposed to be the "front line" for any eligibility questions related to Bridge members.
