TAFDC Cuts Reversed

Governor Patrick has reversed his mid-year (9C) budget cut to the Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC) program. The cut, which has been scheduled to go into effect on February 1st, would have eliminated or drastically reduced TAFDC benefits for children whose parents are too disabled to work and were receiving SSI (“Proposed TAFDC Cuts”, MGH Community News, November 2009).
