Ellie Fund New Application and Funding Limits
Due to a dramatic increase in patient applications to the Ellie Fund, which offers financial assistance to women undergoing breast cancer treatment, some very important changes have been made to the application process:
- It is requested that the referring medical professional list other supporting service organizations where the patient is currently receiving services or to which the patient has applied.
- Duration of grants will be contingent on the number of applicants in a given month as well as available funding. Currently, typical grants are usually for 1-2 months.
- At this time, we are no longer able to extend grants.
- Grants will be awarded to patients residing in Massachusetts only.
“We appreciate your support during this very challenging time. Our wish is to continue to provide the highest level of compassion and timely response to all of our patients' needs.” said Patient Services Coordinators Gail Fine and Deb Lowe in a statement.
The new form, frequently asked questions and guidance are available on our website www.mghsocialwork.org > Staff Access > Cancer Resources > under Resources see “Special Funds”.
