The Massachusetts Council on Compulsive Gambling’s website (www.masscompulsivegambling.org) has resources of interest to professionals and the general public.

For Professionals

Resources for professionals include two screening tools that clinicians can use to identify potential gambling problems in their clients -- a 2-Question Screening Tool from the Lie/Bet questionnaire for screening pathological gamblers and a 4-Question Screening Tool based on the revised CAGE.

The Helpline

For the public, they offer a 24/7 Helpline which offers information and support for people concerned about their own or a loved one’s gambling.

While they do not provide mental health counseling to callers, Council staff members are equipped to respond empathetically and offer information and referrals for self-help, treatment providers and other community resources to people experiencing problem’s with gambling.

The Helpline offers services in five languages:
