 IRis UPDATED!
So in the unlikely event you missed it - IRis has been updated. But you might be wondering what was involved
and what does it mean for you. You may recall that most of the data in IRis is purchased from Boston Senior
Homecare's information and referral line "Boston Elder-Info". This update was an update of all the programs
that they originally entered, and for which they retain responsibility (over 4,000 programs). This was long
awaited because when both sites upgraded to the Windows version of IRis the program that converted their
Geographic Areas to ours stopped working. I'll spare you the excruciating details about what took so long in
getting the program fixed. But the hold-ups were more on our end and at the company that created and supports
  IRis than at BSHC.
What the update means is that you should now be seeing more recent "Last Updated" dates on specific programs,
and the zip codes and area codes that have changed over the past couple of years should (mostly) be correct.
You should also be less likely to find a great-sounding program in IRis that no longer exists, has moved or
changed their name or services. Now that we have this problem solved, we plan to do more frequent updates of
 their data.

We have also updated IRis for the Web.
