NEW MASSHEALTH PROCEDURE FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES

MassHealth has been enrolling much of their "under 65" population in managed care organizations. Under regulations effective July 1, 2000, this population should now receive behavioral health services (i.e., psychotherapeutic services) from that managed care organization. Previously these MassHealth members had to get services through MassHealth's behavioral health contractor, currently 'The Partnership'.
