PAINE SOCIAL SERVICE HELPS CAMBRIDGE ELDERS

Paine Social Services (PSS), founded in 1905, is a private nonprofit agency committed to providing Cambridge seniors with the information and support they need both to manage their basic needs and to attain their personal goals. PSS social workers, Liz Aguilo and Sara Demetry, are both LICSW clinicians with over 10 years of experience in the Cambridge community. PSS is similar to our own Coordinated Care program, but without the built-in nursing component. Liz and Sara visit elders in their homes to complete an assessment of their individual needs and help establish personal goals and an action plan. They provide care management, information and referral, counseling services, and money management. In addition, Liz and Sara help elders and their families access the many resources Cambridge has to offer. Equally important, they continue to work with elders to ensure service delivery and strive to fill gaps in available services. Services are available on a private pay or sliding fee basis.
