BOSTON HOUSING AUTHORITY NOW TAKING APPLICATIONS IN NEIGHBORHOODS
The Boston Housing Authority is opening new sites throughout the city (19 in all) whose staff will be trained to provide informational materials about the BHA,
each of its housing developments, how to apply for housing, and to assist applicants with the application process. Previously applications were accepted only
at one central site. The staff at the neighborhood-based sites will also be able to provide information specific to the applicant about the status of their
application(s). Applicants will be able to attend screening appointments at these sites as well. No appointments are necessary for general information and assistance.
Each site has unique days and hours of operation, please see IRis for the location and hours of the appropriate site under the keyword: Housing Authority,
then search under city and select the neighborhood name.
Applicants who have questions or who need assistance or, who, due to a disability, need an application sent via mail can call (617) 988-5019 or (617) 988-4310.
